Parents League Assails Movies

as Objectionable

HOUSTON, Tex. (A) The Parents League of Houston, joined by leagues in other cities, has protested to movie producers what it called "violence, nudity and physical intimacy in the movies."

The 3,600-member family organization also outlined in a letter its objections to "the preoccupation in motion pictures with the homosexual theme" and "those movies which teach a new standard) of sexual morality."

The letter was sent to 11 New York and Hollywood motion picture distributors and to the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers in Hollywood.

The league charged the movie producers with the "primary responsibility" of eliminating such material.

The Houston Chronicle got in touch with three movie executives who generally said the people who request more family movies do not support them. They said most movies designed for family audiences lose money.
